Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Standard shipping takes 5–7 business days within the continental US. Express delivers in 2–3 business days. Overnight arrives next business day for orders before 2pm MT. Alaska and Hawaii add 2–3 days. International orders typically arrive within 7–14 business days.

How much does shipping cost?

Free on orders over $75. Under $75: flat $7.95. Express: $12.99. Overnight: $24.99. International rates calculated at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — Canada, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. International orders may be subject to local customs duties. Delivery typically takes 7–14 business days.

Can I track my order?

Yes. You'll receive an email with a tracking number when your order ships. Check status anytime at our Order Status page.

Do you offer in-store pickup?

Yes — select "Store Pickup" at checkout for our Boulder flagship store. Orders are typically ready within 2 hours during business hours.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

60-day, no-questions-asked returns on unused gear in original condition. Used gear can be returned within 30 days if it doesn't meet expectations.

How do I start a return?

Contact us at [email protected] or call (303) 555-0142. We'll email a prepaid label. Refunds processed within 5 business days.

Can I exchange instead of returning?

Yes — mention the item you'd like when you contact us. Price differences are charged or refunded. Exchanges ship free.

What if my item arrives damaged?

Contact us immediately with photos. We'll ship a replacement at no cost and arrange free pickup of the damaged item.

Products

Are your products waterproof?

It depends on the product. The Trail Runner Pack and Summit Shelter carry IPX4+ ratings. The Beacon Headlamp is IPX8 (submersible to 2m). Check product specs for exact ratings.

What materials do you use?

High-tenacity ripstop nylon with silicone and PU coatings. Anodized aluminum hardware, YKK zippers, and DAC Featherlite NSL tent poles.

How do I find the right size?

Each product page has a detailed sizing chart. For packs, measure your torso length (C7 vertebra to iliac crest). For tents, consider occupant count and heights.

Do you sell replacement parts?

Yes — zippers, buckles, poles, stakes, and more. Contact us with your product name and needed part. Often free under our Lifetime Repair Promise.

Care & Maintenance

How do I clean my backpack?

Empty all pockets and shake out debris. Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For deep cleaning, soak in lukewarm water with technical fabric wash, gently scrub, rinse, and air dry completely. Never machine wash a structured pack.

How often should I re-waterproof my gear?

Check your DWR regularly. If water stops beading and starts soaking in, reapply. Rain jackets: every 10–15 washes. Tents: start of each season. See our Complete Gear Care Guide.

How should I store my tent?

Never store compressed in a stuff sack. Loosely stuff into a breathable bag, store cool and dry away from sunlight. Ensure it's completely dry before storage.

What if a zipper gets stuck?

Check for caught fabric. Apply zipper lubricant and run the slider back and forth. If the slider is worn, contact us for a free repair.

How do I repair a small tear?

Tenacious Tape for field repairs — clean the area, cut a rounded-corner patch larger than the tear, press firmly. For permanent repairs, send to our repair center at no charge.

Warranty

What does the Lifetime Repair Promise cover?

All manufacturing defects and normal wear for the original purchaser — seam failures, zipper defects, delamination, buckle breakage, pole failures. Damage from misuse is repaired for a reasonable fee.

How long is the warranty period?

The usable life of the product — no arbitrary time limit. If your pack's seam fails after 10 years of regular use, we'll fix it.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Email [email protected] with product name, description and photos. We respond within 2 business days. Most repairs completed within 10 business days.

Is the warranty transferable?

The Promise applies to the original purchaser. Second-hand owners get repairs at cost — we never turn away an Alpenglow product.
